A New way to look at Emotions
The article "A New way to look at emotions - and how to master yours" talks of how ones emotions can be very dependent on the feedback that their body is giving them even though their thoughts might be giving the opposite signals. It also gives a few example of how one can fully master the understanding of their feelings through mindful activities and feeling new things; pushing themselves to do new things. I want to focus on the first part of the article on Emotion identification. The example given in the text talks of a woman that felt as if she was starting to fall for someone through the fact that her body was having all of the reactions that she expected it to have when she came across someone that she liked, the truth was that she didn't feel anything for him at all, but rather that she was becoming ill and her body was reacting accordingly.
