Natural Sciences; have they changed us?

Natural sciences on their own do not give many answers when questioning the reasoning for ones existence, but the do help to explain our position in the vast universe that seems to stretch out into infinity. personally, it helped me to understand how meaningless our actions are when it comes to the universe, no matter what we do on this planet, the only ones it is going to affect is us and the species living on it. Also, my perception of time has changed drastically since the discovery of the universes age. My lifetime will be nothing compared to that, even though it will feel like an eternity to me. The universe has existed much before me or even the human race did, and will continue to do so after I die. This realisation continuously motivates me to do the most I can the small time that I will be here on earth.

Technology has affected the form and content of my personal knowledge as now we no longer need to know to to skin animals, or what parts of the animals are edible or not (unless we pick a career path related to the food industry). Our knowledge now is based on things that are very hard to prove but we have to take as a fact as someone else was able to prove it. We rely on information that others give us instead of finding stuff out on our own, which has made many fake news outlets highly profitable and controversial as most of their viewers are unaware that what they are watching isn’t intact true, which allows for the news outlet to change the opinion of the general public drastically without much effort, something that would’ve been very hard to do in the past.
